Morphs are specific distortions of mesh created for specific figures. To apply a morph to your figure, select your desired morph slider in the Parameters tab and assign it a new value. Positive values apply the selected morph as created, while negative numbers apply the opposite of the selected morph. For example, applying a negative value to a smile morph might result in a frown.

Applying large positive or negative values can result in excessive distortion and can even break the polygon mesh. A jagged edge appears when there are breaks in the mesh. You can use as many morphs as you like in any combination. Different figures come with different default morphs, and you can always add more with certain packages available for purchase or download.

DAZ figures include hundreds of morphs to allow virtually unlimited customization. Morphs can also be injected or removed from a figure if the figure has been set up to use injections. User Tools Log In. Site Tools. Getting Started Guides. Software Guides.

In particular, body morphs. I will be working with Genesis 8 here, but you can apply most of this to Genesis 3 too.

First up we need a base mesh to work on. I have previously had issues with exporting Genesis 8 in the way used for Genesis 3 so I always advise this method if possible. Everything visible in the scene will be exported so disable visibility on anything else in the scene.

Saving and Sharing Morphs for DAZ Characters

I will be using Blender for this section. Blender is an immensely powerful program but can be very daunting to use. With that I will not be going through every command or step in Blender so I recommend at least a minor working knowledge of Blender.

Most instructions should be interchangable between programs. First up, load your base mesh into your program. Everything else should be fine at their defaults. Genesis will be gigantic in Blender due to the unit scale difference. Now we can get onto creating the morph.

The subdivision surface modifier is your friend. Before you even start to create your morph put a SubD modifier on your mesh. You will normally want to use 2 — 3 Subdivisions to match what Daz will render. If you find things are running slow while editing your mesh, just drop the SubDivision levels down to a more manageable number and push it up when you want a preview. This will help make things look smoother which is helpful for organic modelling. Proportional edit mode will move de-selected vertices in relation to the selected vertex using the pre-selected falloff method.

This basically means that Blender will move the vertices inside your circle of influence to prevent undesirable lumps and bumps from appearing. When creating morphs you cannot add or subtract from the base mesh. Doing so will cause the morph to fail when you try to use it in Daz Studio. A morph should be used to make modifications to the body shape rather than fine details.

Those can then be used to apply a higher level of detail. To add additional units to that same group, select them and then hold down Shift and the number in question. It's a bit fiddly at first, but you' will'll get used to it quite quickly. This will add all of the units of that type that are currently visible on-screen to the selection. You can also hold down Ctrl and click one of the target units to achieve the same result.

Remember that a double-tap will zip the screen right over to the item you've assigned. This will allow you to quickly zip over and find out what they've uncovered about the enemy's plans. This lets you get back to base quickly to check on the state of production and resource gathering. This will allow you to keep production rolling rapidly, without you having to revisit the base.

Simply select the group then choose your production option using the hotkey options. That way if they run into trouble you can quickly jump over there and undertake some vital Micro work, or just ensure they live to fight another day by cleanly running away. Having these units on groups also means that if you send out an attacking force yourself, you don't have to anxiously babysit them the whole way there, when you could be doing something more productive. Here are some general tips and tricks that the starting StarCraft 2 player would be well advised to take on board.

This will allow you to assign multiple units to the same shortcut, which you can then easily switch between to stay on top of the action taking place right now. If you have access to the single player mission content, we actually recommend playing through the campaign using your preferred hotkeys and control groups.

Take our challenge and advice here: from your first multiplayer game onwards, select nothing with your mouse. You'll suffer for it in your early games, but will be highly incentivised to get on top of things much more quickly. Pain is a great teacher, after all.

Do not spend too much time playing against the computer when you first fire up StarCraft 2. By all means rattle off a couple of AI matches to get used to the basics of playing from a fresh start, but you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by getting stuck into matches against real-life opponents.

Yes you're going to lose a few at first (read: a lot), but you will learn so much more this way. You're not here to dominate - not yet at least - rather, you're here to learn something new each match, and which you'll take with you into the next battle.

You are going to go up against opponents who turtle (that is, hide themselves within ludicrously over-defended bases) from time to time.

Don't waste all of your precious fighting forces - and by virtue of those, your resources - sacrificing everything into their heavily fortified defenses on a rolling basis. Play the long game instead and be a little more daring. Get out there and expand mercilessly, with more bases and units so as to drop an overwhelming show of force onto them once you've dominated the map. There are limited resources in every match, and whoever owns the greater share of them generally wins in the long run.

Assuming you are moving on the offensive and not running away from a badly lopsided encounter, always use Attack-Move instead as this ensures that your army gets to fire first when it comes across an enemy unit.

The only exception to this rule (beyond when you're running away), is if you need your units to target something particularly problematic in the opponent's army before mopping up the rest of their units. In general though, Attack-Move will give you an advantage in low-level matches. Make it your default action, then learn when to break the rules to suit. Take some time to master the concept of Shift-Queuing, as this will take much of the pain out of your Macro game (see further up the page). The new rotary hammer has been confirmed as being listed as brushless in some Dewalt catalogs, but they have yet to comment on that matter.

Dewalt probably wants to keep the brushed motor compact drill kits at lower prices so that users with higher budgets and more demanding runtime needs look more towards the brushless kits with 2. The premium drills are now kitted with 4. Chris saysAug 10, 2013 at 11:09 amWell all the big drill kits with the 3. Double the run time of non brushless. I will always pay the extra cash for the brushless vs non if given the choice. Bring on the brushless. Milwaukee and Makita (among other brands) have been using brushless technology for years.

From what I can see physically, high torque brushless motors have bigger field and armature. I believe dewalt will come out with one eventually after it finds the best balance for brushless size motor and battery use. One thing that I like about dewalt is that it likes to wait to learn from other technology errors to come out with theirsat least that is what I believe.

Of course the heavy duty drill was shown to be more powerful than the compact model. The company then used testimonials in their marketing. That brushless motor has permanent magnets and it looks to be like your typical canned motor.

Makes me wonder if its a longevity issue. Over on electrician talk there have been quite a few M18 fuel drills burning up chucks. People seem to think that the motor puts out more torque than the chuck can handle.

Chris saysAug 11, 2013 at 10:18 amJust ordered myself a 985 bare tool on ebay for 100 bucks Needed a big drill to do some bigger jobs around the house. Thing is I only have 4 of the smaller 1. Power draw is typically proportional to loading. If it proves to be a hassle to go back and forth to the charger you can always pick up a 3. I have that drill and both compact 1. The drill works fine with the compact batteries.

I learned that the hard way and the 3. It is scheduled to be released in October but these types of things can always change. I work for a school district for 17 years and most of our cordless products are Dewalt.

We are now starting to go to Either makita or bosch. I still prefer Dewalt over Milwaukee any day.

Making Character Morphs in Daz Studio 3D

Milwaukee, however makes better corded products. A reader emailed in, asking about the possibility of Dewalt coming out with 20V Max brushless versions of their premium drill and hammer drill. Reply For me, DeWalt dropped the ball in the transition from their 18V stem-pack line to their 20V Max slide-pack line. Reply Dewalt should have pushed the changer over from stem-pack to slide packs sooner it should have been 2-3 years before the actual 20v line release. You will find it difficult because of hunger cramps or you may even keep thinking about food the whole time.

In this case, you can meditate after two hours after having food. A few warm-up or sukshma yoga exercises before sitting to meditate helps improve circulation, removes inertia and restlessness and makes the body feel lighter.

This is again preparation for easy meditation. Deep breathing in and out as well as doing some nadi shodhan pranayama before meditating is always a good idea. This helps to steady the rhythm of the breath and leads the mind in to a peaceful meditative state. You will see the difference. A gentle smile throughout keeps you relaxed, peaceful and enhances your meditation experience. As you come close to the end of the meditation, don't be in a hurry to open your eyes and start moving about.

Iceland is very special place and you helped us make it OUR special place. Nordic Visitor helped us make our first Iceland vacation the best one. Their travel expert Sigfus worked with before and during the trip to ensure we made the most of vacation.

His suggestions were on point and we are glad that we used this travel agency. The in person consultation was another example of excellence. We even got calls during to make sure we are OK and to give us updates on volcano. Thanks to Nordic Visitor and Sigfus, our Iceland trip was the most memorable one. Everything was smooth from pick up of tickets in the Oslo train station to check in at each hotel. A truly wonderful train trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of beautiful Norway, the tour was very well organized and easy to negotiate without a guide.

It provides a good introduction to Norway for the first time visitor and I would highly recommend it. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful trip and Nordic Visitor and in particular Cecilia were wonderful.

You have made it a special and memorable time for us and we thank you for all your work and attention to detail. My wife and I completed the Iceland Full Circle self drive trip on August 26 arranged by Hilmar and Signy of Nordic Visitor. We were happy with all of our accommodations and very glad that we waited until after our trip began to plan a couple optional excursions such as the zodiac boat ride on a glacial lagoon and the Blue Lagoon on a rainy day the day we departed.

The scenery was so spectacular that we hiked more than I expected we would plus since we lucked out on the weather, we wanted to be outside. Bad weather our last two days caused us to explore a textile museum and the Skagafjordur Folk Museum featuring turf buildings.

Helpful hint-if you want to climb Mount Namafjall (mud pots, fumaroles, etc. I would recommend this service to anyone.

Applying Morphs

They made our trip to Sweden effortless. We encountered passport problems at the start of our trip which resulted in a delay and Cecilia was able to rearrange everything for us. She went above and beyond in service to us. This is the only way to go and I would definitely use this service again. Our Southern Iceland self-driving tour was wonderful.Specifies the fields to be included in the dataset.

The first element is an operator and the rest of the elements its arguments. See the section below for more details. Specifies the default objective field. Example: true size optional Integer, default is the source's size The number of bytes from the source that you want to use. Example: 500 You can also use curl to customize a new dataset with a name, and different size, and only a few fields from the original source.

If you do not specify a size, BigML. If you do not specify any fields BigML. This predicate is specified as a (possibly nested) JSON list whose first element is an operator and the rest of the elements its arguments. Here's an example of a filter specification to choose only those rows whose field "000002" is less than 3.

Note how you're not limited to two arguments. It's also worth noting that for a filter like that one to be accepted, all three fields must have the same optype (e.

The field operator also accepts as arguments the field's name (as a string) or the row column (as an integer). If you have duplicated field names, the best thing to do is to use either column numbers or field identifiers in your filters, to avoid ambiguities. Besides a field's value, one can also ask whether it's missing or not.

These are all the accepted operators: To be accepted by the API, the filter must evaluate to a boolean value and contain at least one operator. So, for instance, a constant or an expression evaluating to a number will be rejected. Once a dataset has been successfully created it will have the following properties.

This is the date and time in which the dataset was created with microsecond precision. It can contain restricted markdown to decorate the text. It has an entry per each field type (categorical, datetime, numeric, and text), an entry for preferred fields and an entry for the total number of fields.

That is the total number of fields including those created under the hood to support text fields. Each entry includes the column number, the name of the field, the type of the field, and the summary. In a future version, you will be able to share datasets with other co-workers or, if desired, make them publicly available. This is the date and time in which the dataset was updated with microsecond precision. Dataset Fields The property fields is a dictionary keyed by each field's id in the source.

Each field's id has as a value an object with the following properties: Numeric summaries come with all the fields described below. If the number of unique values in the data is greater than 32, then 'bins' will be used for the summary. If not, 'counts' will be available.

Categorical summaries give you a count per each category and missing count in case any of the instances contain missing values. Text summaries give statistics about the vocabulary of a text field, and the number of instances containing missing values. Before a dataset is successfully created, BigML.
