Question 10 months ago. Im kinda new at pi's, I'm getting a little confused on step 4. I would like that feat. But can't figure out what the exact command is to put the script in. Feeling very stupid lol. Anyone find an opensource alternative to DAKboard? I made it with a raspberry pi zero. Getting the right screen was trick for me. I got a tv for free digital research tv wt but it was not high enough resolution. It was something like X so it would not display the last day of the week in in the calendar.

I used a large flat-head screw driver. Just wedge it in the small gap between the sides and twist. Do that all the way around and it should come loose!Hooking up a Raspberry Pi to a monitor is one of the easiest things to do.
Begin by connecting to a wireless network. Click on the networking icon in the Menu bar and choose your wireless network. Now open the Chromium web browser and set up an account at dakboard. Before going any further, click the Options tab in DAKboard. Click on your account name in the menu to the left and choose Account. Ensure that Boot is set to Desktop and Auto Login is ticked. Enter a new password for your wall display so you can access it remotely.

I double side taped the Pi Zero to the back. Very clean looking hanging on the wall. I changed the layout a bit as well. I tried first hanging it in Portrait mode, which was cool, but this is also a smart TV with wireless and that deprived me of the ability to watch Hulu and Netflix while cooking if I wanted to. If you see any pixelation make sure you have a good connection with your HDMI on the adapter end especially and you can add more GPU memory if need be.
