You could take it to the store where you bought it. Is it root-ed? Did you try Wipe Cache Partition that will remove all temporary data and not touch any saved data. Did you try a Factory Data Reset? This will wipe all apps and customizations that you added and they will have to be reinstalled.

I cant even select an option to recover, power off, factory etc etc in a fast boot mode. The only time it will actually let me do something is to do a fastboot and I cant advance past that screen.
I have no clue what root-ed is. This phone was bought directly from verizon. You could go to any Verizon store and ask them for help.
I'm not sure what you are doing. Volume down and power Volume down twice until Recovery mode is displayed Then power button When android on its back and No Command is displayed Hold down volume up for 10 seconds and while still holding it down press and release power button Volume down until "wipe cache partition: is displayed Hit power button It will run for MINUTES and then boot If you still have the problem Are you sure that the village of bavigliano is sufficiently charged?
Have you been charging with the supplied charger and cable or something else? If not, I'd try plugging into the turbo charger that came with the phone for 15 minutes or so and then try powering up again. If you've ever owned an HTC device or anything in the Nexus lineodds are, you have typed the word " fastboot " into your command line at one time or another.

That said, odds are, you have only just barely scratched the surface of what this handy little Android tool can do. Let's take a deeper look. In practical use, it is used to flash images such as recoveries, bootloaders, and kernels to your Android device. Outside of the obvious, you can also restore nandroid backups, change your splash screen, and flash system updates.
If you have a Nexus device, you don't typically need to mess with your SPL, as your device comes from the factory with a fairly capable bootloader. Downloading the entire Android SDK if you only need fastboot is overkill.
Thankfully, it is possible to download and install the specific tools that we need in just a few easy steps, on all major operating systems. Getting fastboot to work on Windows can be a little challenging. Thankfully, XDA forums user Snoop05 created an installer that massively simplifies the process, by installing both Fastboot and ADB, installing the necessary device drivers, and adding these tools to your system PATH allowing them to be run from any folder via the command lineinto a second operation.
Simply download and run the installer. It will then ask if you want to install ADB system-wide—again, type " Y " and press enter.
After that, it will ask about installing the device drivers. Once again, type " Y " and press enter, which will open another installer for the drivers.
Simply click " Next " and allow the drivers to install. Once the installation is complete, select " Finish " and the installer will close and you are all done.
In the same vein as the Windows installer used above, scripts have been written for OS X that massively simplify the Fastboot installation process. Follow the process in the above video and described here by Andrew to quickly install Fastboot and ADB on your Mac computer. By far the easiest installation process of them all.
On many distros, including Kali Linux and BackTrackyou will only need to issue a single command from the terminal:. If for some reason that does not work, you may need to manually add a repository to APT advanced packaging tool with the following command. Once that is complete, issue the first command again and it should install this time. Note: If you are using a flavor of Linux that does not use APT, you will need to look up the installation procedure for your specific package manager, though it should be fairly similar.
Now it's time to boot your phone into "fastboot mode. If you do not see any devices listed, make sure that your device is actually in fastboot mode and that you are using a good USB cable yes, this does make a difference. On Nexus devicesthe following command is all that is required to unlock your bootloader and root your device.
However, on other devicesunlocking the bootloader alone will not be very helpful. You will need to use specific exploits to remove the radio secure flag completely. To reverse the above process and relock your device's bootloader, simply use the following command.AP Fastboot Flash Mode s???????? I was told if it seemed like one or more of my apps were causing my phone to act like its somewhat POSSESSED, in a way, that I could attempt to boot my phone in "Safe Mode" in order to put the phone into a safe boot so that I could attempt to narrow down which app or apps that happened to be causing my phone to act erratically.
Although I was never able to actually narrow it down to which apps was causing the strange behavior of my phone ie: just simply rebooting itself, all by itself, at random times, pretty oftenI do indeed remember that I did accomplish booting it into "Safe Mode", bc i remmeber when I did, and it rebooted, the words, "Safe Mode" would be in white text across the bottom of the screen.
Now, heres the stumper Now, several months later, when my phoen has started acting erratically, yet again, I attempted the exact same procedure. And instead of the booting options that i rememeber seeing, its a much different menu that it comes to. They do not seem to make any differance or changes to anything, at all. Now, if you can scroll back up up to where it had the "Samsung 4S" in the menu, where I assume it is just giving details about my phone.
I do not understand that, and it kinda freaked me out a bit, seriously!! So Im curious, as to know if its possible someone else who had the opportunity to get ahold of my phone, for any length of time, may have possibly tried to either install or change something BIG on my phone, for whatever reason, but without my knowledge!
And if so, then what would they have been getting out of doing this to my phone?? Ive been searching the search engines for related topics, but so far have only come up with information about this possibly happening when someone attempts to root a phone, yet is unsuccessful? Together with Michael Goberman MichaelGoberman of my team, we released a paper with all of the technical details:. The hidden USB interfaces are enabled when the bootloader inserts the androidboot. Then, the attacker can just issue the following commands, in order to reboot the device with the special bootmode that enables the interfaces:.
The full chain of events that end with the enablement of the USB interfaces is further explained in our paper. Every future boot from this point forward will have the bootmode configuration enabled, i. Essentially this means that the attacker only needs the victim to enable ADB once. Moreover, a lucky attacker may just wait for the device to be in the fastboot mode, which does not require any authorization from the victim, however, less likely.
The first attack we describe in our paper allows an adversary with USB access to the device, to practically own the Nexus 6 modem, by accessing its diagnostics interface. This leak may contain sensitive data, and may aid in further exploitation. The PC malware will wait for the victim to place the device in the fastboot mode in order to exploit the vulnerability. Google rated CVE with High severity and mitigated it by forbidding a locked bootloader to boot with the dangerous boot modes.
